Umbria - Marches; Nature has endowed Umbria with a soft, typically Italian landscape that has preserved its beauty intact throughout the centuries. The region is divided by a dozen rivers and torrents that run in parallel lines towards the sea. Here you find skillful fishermen that prepare; “brodetto”; a fish soup. Pig is the specialty of Umbria prepared in numerous ways. The black truffles grow on the owners land and remain hidden and used only for themselves. The two rival regions, stoutly defend the merits of their respective white wines; Orvieto and Verdicchio, both considered to be among the best in Italy.
