Trentino; alternates robust and genuine flavors with the Italian Alpine traditions mixed with those of the most delicate influences of German origin. One of the peculiarities of Trentino, is they have given very little importance to pasta, it is substituted with the gnocchi made from potatoes. Most of the dishes are one main dish always with potatoes as a the basis. Trentino and Alto Adige are two perfect model wine regions, first because 3/4ths of their territory is Doc, consisting of red wines that have become very prestigious through time matching up to the finest reds in Italy. Second, because it has become famous for their sparkling wines and third, for the outstanding fruit and aromatic white wines.
